Let’s talk about the cat trend…

If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw me post this gem of a shirt last week. I mean, who doesn’t smile when they see a cat wearing headphones?

At first, I was a little embarrassed by my recent cat obsession and wondering about my future as a creepy cat lady when I sat down at my computer multiple times to google shirts with cats on them. But then the whole wide world seemed to become a creepy cat woman all at once and made me feel much better about myself.

Open Back Dress Trend + Big Announcement

The thing I love about this trend is the variety. All five of these dresses have open backs but all are different. It’s really up to you if you want a lot of skin showing or just a little. Or at the top or the bottom. I think my favorite is the ASOS wrap dress (No. 4) with just a teeny tiny part of the back showing. Plus, one way to stay cool this summer is to just not have a back to your dress at all. Problem solved!

Now for the BIG announcement! On Tuesday I accepted a new teaching position in Baton Rouge, so it looks like I’m headed South again! I’ll be teaching 7th grade English at the most amazing school, and I could not be more excited to move back to BR where my little blog first began. But be prepared for future tweets/posts/Instagrams of stressed out Leslie making yet another move…

Trend: Above-the-Knuckle Rings

Wearing knuckle rings is quickly becoming one of my favorite trends for the spring and summer. I love how it adds that edgy side to your outfit. I tend to stick to two main rings that I wear daily. So knuckle rings work great for me because I can wear them in addition to my usual rings. I do, however, like this style when worn with only one or two rings instead of a ton. I definitely think there’s a thing as “too much” for this look. Don’t ya think?
