Alex and Ani Saints Bangle + Shop My Favorites

Monday, September 8th, 2014

I recently found out about Alex and Ani when I went to dinner with a friend and she had on the cutest little bangles. She told me all about the charm options and how there were a gazillion to choose from. My mom’s birthday was a few weeks ago, so I decided to get her this Saints bangle and the Texas Rangers one (even though as they sat at my house for a few weeks, I considered keeping them for myself). I’ve been wanting to share, but had to wait until after her birthday, obviously. I’ve picked a few of my favorites below-But I’m warning you, they’re addicting! Alex and Ani has birthstones, initials, favorite college and NFL teams, MLB teams, and so many other charms to choose from including ice cream cones, cupcakes, seahorses, pineapples-you name it!

You can even share your favorites on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest straight from the lookbook buttons below to drop a few hints to your friends! :)

Callin’ Baton Rouge | LSU Gameday Outfit with Animal Prints

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014

Somewhere along the way all the girls in Baton Rouge voted on leopard as being an acceptable gameday print. It’s not tiger, but it’s close enough and goes perfectly with all the purple and gold outfit combinations on Saturdays. Plus, I always enjoy wearing nontraditional gameday attire like this cream colored dress with a leopard kimono. It’s a great alternative to a LSU tee and shorts!

I completed my outfit with Louisiana-inspired accessories including this Freret & Napoleon oyster necklace, purple and gold tassel bracelet from The Royal Standard, Louisiana necklace from Anna Liv Design and a mustard yellow clutch. Shop similar items at the bottom of this post!

I bought this eyelet top in Victoria, Canada of all places this summer. While in the store, the sales associate gave me the idea of tucking the bottom layer into a pencil skirt for a crop top look. I was immediately sold and knew I had to have it. I’ve worn this top untucked with jeans and shorts too, but I really like the appearance of a crop top it gives off when tucked in.

And as we get closer to fall, I’ve been thinking how I can keep adding pops of bright color into my wardrobe. I’m always drawn to neutrals like black and white, especially in the fall and winter. But this neon skirt and pops of royal blue will definitely continue to be incorporated into my outfits as we transition into cooler months.

It’s also a lot easier to add bold accessories to my wardrobe each month with a Rocks Box subscription. For $19 per month you can receive hand-selected jewelry just for you, wear it as much and as long as you’d like, swap it when you’re ready, and buy any pieces you want to keep! Sounds pretty good, right?

If you want to purchase a piece, you always get 20% off retail price as a member. Shipping is free both ways, so you just drop your box in the mail whenever you’re ready.
