Hi, I’m Leslie Presnall and Southern Flair is my personal style and shopping blog! I’m a 7th grade English teacher by day and fashion blogger by night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana!

At Southern Flair, I focus on practical and affordable, yet trendy clothing. I offer everything from styling and shopping tips to the occasional beauty tips. I review and share items and products from small business boutiques to major retailers.

I started my blog in 2010 in my little college apartment after interning for a fashion and beauty magazine in NYC. I decided to make a major career change from journalism into education, but no way could I give up my love for fashion, creating, and writing.

I graduated from LSU with a degree in mass communication and gained lots of experience at The Daily Reveille as a news and entertainment reporter. I also served as the fashion editor at DIG magazine and the Baton Rouge stylist for Amelie G magazine. I also guest blog for Visit Baton Rouge.

I’m incredibly passionate about my state of Louisiana and its growing fashion industry. I love finding and promoting local talent and brands. I believe strongly in creating a growing community where us Southerners can support each other and grow together. In spring 2015, I founded the Baton Rouge Fashion Council, which is an organization for local designers and boutique owners to network, collaborate, and grow together through pop-up shops, social events, and runway shows.
