I apologize for my absence! I wish I could say it wouldn’t happen again, but I have SO much school work to do before May 8. After that, I’ll be posting regularly again. Unless…. someone wants to write my literature review for me? Any takers?

A few months back I discovered fellow Louisiana blogger Jenn from Haute off the Rack. I haven’t been able to get denim vests out of my head since seeing her White Out + Denim post (pictured above). And now I’m seeing them everywhere. So last night, instead of grading poetry portfolios or writing a literature review, I searched online for some of my favorite denim vests of all styles and price ranges.
I have a couple denim vests from a few years ago (because remember I throw nothing away…ever), so I plan to dig those out and start incorporating them into my wardrobe again. But I’m definitely planning to add another style to my closet. Check out these options below!

This all-denim outfit is really about the accessories. Without the accessories and with some flats, it’s a comfortable outfit for running errands or going to class. I dressed it up with some pumps and jewelry for Jean-Day Friday at work. I just wish I wasn’t forced to wear long sleeves this time of year. As you can see, it’s SO pretty outside, but what is with this cold weather in Louisiana right now?? I better not complain. I’ll have plenty of sweating-my-butt-off months very soon.

Finally as promised- a spring trend post! I’ve had enough of this cold rainy weather, so warm spring days are on my mind. I’m in the mood for pastels, stripes and florals if you can’t tell. I love the idea of mixing floral denim pants with a stripe shirt like in the last look. And I adore the satchel from Warehouse and I’m anxiously awaiting its arrival to my doorstep!
