Puppy Love

Product Information: Chihuahua sweater from JCPenney | Fur vest from JCPenney | Faux Leather Front Leggings from JCPenney (on clearance!) | Princess Vera Wang Smoking Flats from Kohl’s | My BF Bracelet from Accessory Mercado | Statement Necklace from Forever 21 (similar here and here)

Can you see the teeny tiny bit of ice on the ground??! That was enough to shut Baton Rouge down for DAYS a few weeks ago! Yesterday it was almost 80 degrees outside, so I’m hoping this will be the last “winter” outfit. I’ve had enough of the cold for this year, but I will miss my sweaters and fur vests. The chihuahua sweater and vest are both I ‘Heart’ Ronson from JCPenney (which I’m a tad obsessed with) and the faux leather pants are Bisou Bisou also from JCPenney (so maybe I just have a JCPenney problem).

Snow Day

Tuesday, January 7th, 2014

Today was the supposed to be the first day back for my students and me, but due to the cold weather the kiddos got to take an extra day. The teachers have to be at work, which is probably best because I have a to-do list literally two pages long of things I managed to put off during the holidays. Some alone days at school are always the most productive, so I’m ok with spending my “snow day” at in my quiet classroom. But these images of hot chocolate, warm socks, and cookies are quite enticing. Maybe next time!

Have a great Tuesday! Keep up with SF on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest!

2013 Winter Wardrobe Wishlist

Saturday, November 23rd, 2013

Army Jacket | Floppy Hat | Ankle Boots | Leather Gloves |
Plaid Skort | Infinity Scarf

It’s my first day of Thanksgiving break, and I’m drinking out of a Starbucks red cup as I type this, so you know what that means! It’s officially the holidays and time to create my winter wardrobe wishlist (even though it’s also 70 degrees as a type this…).

Many of these items are pieces I’ve enjoyed for past falls and winters like infinity scarves and ankle boots, but there’s always room for new ones in my closet.

Other items are new to my wishlist including plaid, asymmetric skirts, and wool floppy hats. Wool floppy hats are not a new trend, but I’m still getting the courage to try one out. Y’all know I’m not a hat person, but winter 2013 may just be the year.

And of course there can’t be a winter without leopard touches here and there.

What’s on your winter wardrobe wishlist? What are you most excited about? Have a great Saturday and keep up with SF on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest! And don’t forget to follow the Southern Flair Holiday Gift Guide on Pinterest!

My favorite 2013 fall ad campaigns

Friday, August 30th, 2013

Jimmy Choo | Nic + Zoe | Mulberry | Saint Laurent | Prada

Let’s face it-the best part about September issues is the hundreds of pages of advertisements. I hate to admit that I barely read the editorials or features, but it’s true. I spend most of my time swooning over pretty designer campaigns of things I could never afford.

Today I’ve picked out just a few of my favorites to share with you. I cannot wait to get moved into my house (hopefully next week!) so I can get my fall inspiration board going with these beautiful pages. Which fall campaigns were your favorites?

Have a happy Saturday, y’all! Be sure to keep up with Southern Flair on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest!
