The lack of posts the past few days is totally my bad. I’ve been in South Louisiana sorting out new house and job stuff (ya know, adult stuff) and then took a weekend trip to Shreveport and Dallas to see friends before the crazy school year starts back up. I have a workshop today at my new school, and then I’m headed back to North Louisiana for a few days. New post up tomorrow!

I haven’t done a ‘Splurge vs. Save’ post in two years (give or take a few months), but this deal was too good not to share. While shopping at a Forever 21 in Boston, I stumbled upon this adorable little Elephant Parade necklace. When I got back to the hotel and started browsing online, I randomly found another Elephants On Parade necklace-except it was $130 more expensive than the Forever 21 version.
Both are so adorable, so it’s a tough choice. I love everything elephant. The $140 elephant necklace would surly last longer, but the Forever 21 is still an adorable alternative.

If you’ve noticed lately, embellished collars are becoming a big thing. But have you thought about adding collar clips to your own shirts?
