Hemline Fall 2013 Trunk Show

Hemline, LSU’s fashion club (that I was a member of back in my fashion minor college days) is hosting its fall trunk show next week! Lots of local brands including Ella Rose, Hazel & Florange, and The Elizabeth Chronicles will be participating. See the full list below:

Bloggers Give Back

BGB online eventI was recently contacted by Jalynn of The Red Closet Diary about her online event called Bloggers Give Back in which anyone can donate for a good cause. This year, two families have been selected to receive the funds. The two families both have little boys who are battling cancer. You can read more about the families and the boys’ stories here. The goal is to raise as much money as possible to help these families pay for Christmas and medical bills.

The online event began this week and runs through December 6. Anyone can donate through Paypal and other options on the website.

Monroe to host first MOLA MusicFest

MOLA MusicFest Lineup
Taking a pause in this week’s beach/pool-themed posts to tell you something pretty exciting. The inaugural MOLA (Monroe Louisiana) Music Fest will be held August 3rd at ULM’s baseball stadium. It will officially be announced next week, but I’ve got all the details for you today!

The lineup includes Joe Nichols, Kevin Gordon, Benjy Davis, Chancie Neal, Chris Canterbury, and Lainey Wilson. Gates will open at noon with the music starting at 2 p.m. and ending around 10 p.m.

Tickets cost only $30, and $5 from each ticket will go to ULM Athletics.

You can also get a custom MOLA t-shirt with all proceeds going toward tornado relief in Moore, Oklahoma. See the design below:
