This is one of the major meteor showers of the year — caused by debris left from the passings of Comet Swift-Tuttle. You can go learn about meteors and spot some from 10PM – midnight… and maybe even a fireball! More info here.

It’s also National Bowling Day! Head to All Star Lanes or Quarters to celebrate. Bonus points if you can bowl a strike without the bumpers!

It’s now been one year since the Louisiana Flood. You may remember the crazy popular SFT Cajun Navy tee — they raised over $50K for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank last year. The school year is getting back into full swing now, so I think it’s time for some Wine Wednesday (even if it is the night before Happy Hour Club). Kona Grill (one of my personal fave spots for happy hour) has $5 selected wines from 3-7PM and then again from 9-11PM.
