Happy Friday, y’all. Finally, the perks of being a teacher are here! (
Kidding… sort of. I love my job and crazy children, but I definitely can’t complain about summers off!) I love being able to wake up and lounge by the pool all day with a good book. Definitely one of my favorite things.
So let’s take a second to talk about
Iconic. I was lucky enough to get a sample Chocolate Truffle in my goodie bag at the
Southern Girl Blogging Community meetup a few weeks back. I wanted to wait and try it on a day I was too busy lying by the pool and too lazy to actually make lunch myself (
I think that counts as an “active” lifestyle that the brand is aiming toward, right?).
Iconic started in New Orleans and now has three flavors to choose from — Chocolate Truffle, Wild Strawberry, and Pure Vanilla Bean. The Chocolate Truffle was almost like a combination of a chocolate shake and chocolate milk (which I love), except I didn’t feel nearly as guilty about it. Find out more about the all-natural healthy lifestyle beverage on Iconic’s website.
Another little perk of the
Southern Girl Blogging Community meetup was finding out about the design and letterpress studio,
Presse Dufour, also based in New Orleans. I was given this
New Orleans Lamp Post bookmark, which is perfect for the English teacher/poolside reader in me. Karen has so many lovely things to choose from in her
Etsy shop, so I hope you’ll check her out and shop local!
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and get some pretty sunshine time! Don’t forget to keep up with SF on
Facebook,
Twitter,
Instagram &
Pinterest!

Reading this post really made me regret missing the meet up, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was beyond my control. I’ll definitely be at the next one.
I always love cute bookmarks!
