I was so excited when this little e-mail landed in my inbox Friday! I love helping people find the perfect outfit, and I love this question because it’s Mardi Gras themed and we can skip right over Valentine’s Day!
Purple, gold and green are such fun colors to work with, so let’s get started!
I think the perfect combo here would be a purple, gold or green casual dress paired with accessories and ballet flats to dress it down. Or try wearing a skirt with a Mardi Gras colored top. It’s important to be comfortable, but I’d much rather be over dressed than under dressed. Plus, it’s a party, so don’t be afraid to step it up a bit! When creating these outfits, I tried to stick to stores found in Louisiana like Forever 21, Wet Seal, Target, etc. I wouldn’t rely on online shipping dates since the event is coming up so soon — Who doesn’t love a trip to the mall anyway? ![]()
