Some Much Needed Beach Inspiration

My first week of summer break has certainly been a busy one. I spent a long Memorial Day Weekend in New Orleans for the Southern Girl Blogging Community Meetup. It was so great to get to chat with other bloggers and see what makes them tick. If you’re a Southern Blogger, be sure to join the Facebook group to stay in the loop. And you can see photos from our first event on Foster the Fashion. I got lots of goodies that I can’t wait to share with you guys!

The rest of my week hasn’t been nearly as exciting. As you know, I’m being forced out of my current home because my landlady decided she wants to move back in (how rude). So I’ve spent this week packing millions of boxes it seems like. I have no idea how I’ve managed to obtain so much junk over just two years. It was the same way with packing up my classroom last week. I really will have my own episode of Hoarders one day. You just wait.

I’m trying really hard to get rid of clothes that I know I will never wear again. I guess it’s time I stop pretending I will ever fit into size small and size 2 clothes again. What do you do with all your old clothes? They are still in good condition. A lot of them only worn once. Any ideas??

Anyway, after this week I definitely need some beach time. Unfortunately, that’s not until the end of the month. The pool in the backyard will do for now. Hope you enjoy these pretty pictures today. And have a happy weekend.

Be sure to keep up with me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest!

  1. I’ve seen a lot of bloggers sell nice, no-longer-needed clothing on the blog! Like here: http://franish.blogspot.com/2013/05/shop-my-closet.html I don’t know how successful they are, but that’s probably easier than ebay or something.

  2. In the event that you do an episode of hoarders I am sure it will a fabulous one!!! xo!!

  3. I’m the same way with clothes- I never get rid of anything! Fashion recycles so you never know when you might can rock a certain piece again- maybe that’s the reason I’m still holding on to Floral print pants jumper that my MOM gave me 10 years ago ;)

    • Ugh you’re so right. I got rid of a ton of stuff from my 2002-2006 high school days. Hoping none of that comes back into style! But I can’t fit into most of it now anyway :(
