1- Go Tailgating!
Grab a quick breakfast like (like Tiger Deauxnuts) and head to campus for a full day of tailgating.
I have a full post on How To Survive an LSU Tailgate that’s worth checking out for:
- What To Wear on LSU Game Day
- What To Bring Tailgating
- What To Do Around Campus
I prefer to get out earlier and beat the traffic. Parking can be a bit of a beast as well if you get to campus later in the day. Our go-to is the Walk-Ons lot, but here’s a full map of game day parking.
If you’re not local, I suggest some site seeing around campus. Walking around on game day is one of my favorite things to do even with a regular tailgate-spot! I like to see everyone’s tailgates, plus Mike The Tiger, The Parade Grounds, The Greek Theater, Indian Mounds and just the pretty oak trees!
2- Watch The LSU Game!
If you you have football tickets, head into the game early enough for pre-game to see the band, sing Callin’ Baton Rouge and the National Anthem.
If you don’t have tickets, there are several options near campus to watch the game — that are walkable and don’t require you to drive. These include Walk-Ons (where there’s always a fun after party), Fred’s, The Chimes / Varsity, or Mellow Mushroom.
If you’d like to get away from campus, check out The Bulldog, Zippy’s, Ivar’s Sports Bar & Grill or the new Oasis who has a big screen TV!
