Good morning! I don’t know about you, but Louisiana has had amazing weather this weekend— like ‘I want to sit on a patio and day drink all day’ kind of weather. I know it probably won’t last and in a few days it will be rainy or all around dreary and cold again, so to get through those blah winter days, I wanted to share a few tips on how to add pops of color to your winter wardrobe.
I tend to stick to black and white and neutrals during the winter and jump on the color bandwagon during the spring and summer. But just by adding a few bright items to your winter wardrobe you can feel bright and springy even during the colder months.
1. Add a pop of neon under dark staples- Try a bright yellow top — or even orange or pink — for a little color under your dark layers.
2. Wear a bright shoe- Skip the black and brown boots and slip on bright flats or pumps for an instant pop of color to your darker outfit.
3. Layer with a colorful coat- Invest in a bright pink, blue, or yellow coat. It will make you want to run and skip through the cold weather- trust me.
4. Wear patters, prints, and florals- Stock up on non-solid tops. Try things with patterns and prints to add a little color to your outfit.
5. Add bright accessories- This is the easiest tip to incorporate into your winter wardrobe. Add a bright necklace, hat, or even gloves to add a little color to your look.
