Shop Sosis + a Giveaway {Win the ‘Don’t Be Square’ Vest}

 

I’m an only child, and I’ve always gladly accepted the perks that come along with being an only child, but after sitting down with two sisters Annie Claire Bass and Chelsey Laborde of Sosis, I left thinking “awww I want a fun, fashionable sister to start a business with!”

Chelsey, a mass communication grad, and Annie Claire, a fashion merchandising grad, recently followed their day dream and combined their passion for shopping online and affordable fashion to create Sosis-a new “Southern Sisters” online boutique based out of Baton Rouge.

With a look at their website, you’ll notice the bold, trendy pieces that tailor to the shop’s 18-35 year-old market. Annie said they try to pick statement pieces that really stand out. She said the idea is to incorporate trendy pieces with classic items you already have in your closet. {You’ll also notice handmade jewelry from Annie Claire Designs that’s exclusive to the SoSis shop!}

When the girls contacted me about styling an item, I knew I wanted something versatile that would work with whatever crazy Louisiana weather we happened to be having that day. I chose this “Don’t Be Square” vest, which is the perfect layering piece for fall and winter.

The vest is bold, trendy, and pairs well with other items I already have. I can wear this with knits, a sweater dress and leggings, or with really any top like you see here. When I originally saw the item online I didn’t notice the faux leather detail on the collar. Needless to say, I loved it even more in person! I think pairing it with something red could be great for the holidays!
