My 2021 Bucket List
Each year since I created my 30 Before 30 List, I’ve kept it going with an annual bucket list. I’ve done 19 Things in 2019, 20 Things in 20 (I’m sure you can guess how that turned out). And today, I’m sharing my 21 Things To Do in 2021!
I wrote a whole blog post here on why you need an annual bucket list.
Without a bucket list to plan with, I don’t think I would have done a TON of things like zip line in Vermont, eat crazy foods, discover my love for jet skis, and even sign up for my first 5k, 10K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon.
Having an annual bucket list has made me live more on purpose. And after 2020, I’m ready to live on purpose again and make plans for things I CAN control.
So this year, you’ll see a lot of the stuff on my list is travel I can control (mostly) and things I can do in and around our home. Some things are small, but will bring me joy. Some are new skills I want to learn and some are new things I want to create.
My 2021 Bucket List:
1- Bake a tiered cake
2- Go on a fancy picnic
3- Take a work retreat
4- Enroll in an online makeup course
5- Go camping
6 - Overlook a mountain
7- Remodel our bedroom
8- Read the next 6 Presidents’ books (this is ongoing from previous years)
9. Can something
10. Grow an herb garden
11. Visit the World War II Museum (I’ve never been!)
12. Organize our laundry room
13. Run 500 miles (track it over the entire year)
14. Complete 10 pull ups (I can only do 3 together right now)
15. Visit Hawaii (out of my control, but hopefully our honeymoon cruise will actually happen)
16. Visit Oregon
17. Update our light fixtures (we’re stuck in the 90s here)
18. Create a home gym
19. Do flotation therapy
20. Visit Michigan
21. Start a YouTube channel
Now, I challenge you to make your bucket list! I’ve also learned it helps to print out your list and keep it visible. Also, go ahead and put things on your calendar. If it’s scheduled, it’s way more likely to happen!
