The Best Margaritas in Baton Rouge

National Margarita day is February 22 - so I polled you on Instastory to find out your favorite margaritas in Baton Rouge. Truth be told - I’m not surprised one bit by this list! We sure do know a good margarita when we see one!

p.s. Speaking of margaritas, come join the Happy Hour Club! Join 600+ local women for monthly meet-ups, fitness classes and co-working nights!

#1 - Superior Grill

No surprise here! You voted Superior Grill as the best margarita in Baton Rouge. I trust you know the consequence if you have more than one. ;) They’re located at 7333 Highland Rd and 5435 Government St. / Baton Rouge.superiorgrill.com

#2 - Velvet Cactus

This is honestly where you’ll find me the most - and it’s my personal favorite. It was mentioned almost just as many times as Superior, so I know y’all love VC too! Plus, they’ve got a Skinny marg that’s just as good as the real thing. They’re located at 7655 Old Hammond Hwy / thevelvetcactus.com

#3 - Tio Javis

I’m not sure what’s better - their margaritas or their green sauce? Either way, I don’t think you get the full effect without their chips/salsa and green sauce. It’s a “meal” I crave on a weekly basis. They’re located at 4738 Constitution Ave. / tiojavis.com

#4 - La Caretta

My favorite thing about they margaritas are how they add a splash of their frozen in with their margaritas on the rocks. They’re located at 9828 Bluebonnet Blvd and in Mid City at 4065 Government Street. / carretarestaurant.com

#5 - TJ Ribs

This isn’t even a Mexican restaurant (they’re BBQ), but you’ll get the most bang for your buck here. They have $2 margaritas all day every day - and they pack a punch. They’re located at 2324 S Acadian Thruway and 6330 Siegen Ln / tjribs.com

#6 - Rum House

One of my favorite atmospheres and margaritas in Baton Rouge. Sip ’em while swinging at their patio bar - it’s like our little Caribbean getaway. They’re located at 2112 Perkins Palm Ave / therumhouse.com

#7 Zippys

Sip these margs on their big outdoor patio OR this is a good grab and go option - especially if you’re already making plans for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. They’re located at 3155 Perkins Rd. / facebook.com/zippys
