It’s the last Monday until a 2-week Christmas break for me! And what better way to celebrate Monday than Margarita Monday? Tonight will be a festive Margarita Monday with apple cider margaritas! We tested these out last night (so it’s really a two-day margarita celebration) and finished decorating my Christmas tree and enjoyed my neighborhood’s luminary. I’m thinking tonight will include these Christmas margaritas and “Love Actually” because I’m not sure how I’ve made it this long through December without watching it yet!
Ingredients: (Yield: 2 drinks)
2 ounces tequila
2 ounces Triple sec
6 ounces apple cider
2 ounces orange juice
apple slices for garnish
1 tbsp. sugar for rim
1 tbsp. cinnamon for rim
Directions:
Mix the sugar and cinnamon on a small plate. Run an apple slice (or lemon, lime, or orange) around the rim of your glass. Dip your glass into the sugar and cinnamon mixture to coat the rim. Fill your glass with ice.
In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 cup of ice with the orange juice, apple cider, tequila, and Triple sec. Shake well and pour through a strainer into your glass. Add an apple slice and/or cinnamon stick. I didn’t have cinnamon sticks on hand, so I sprinkled in a little extra cinnamon into my drink.
And that’s all! The perfect festive way to celebrate Margarita Monday during the holidays!
What’s your favorite holiday cocktail?
Have a great Monday and keep up with SF on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest!

These sound SO good! I’m such a margarita girl in the summer time, and I usually switch to whiskey sours in the winter, but I think I’ll have to give this a try! My go-to holiday drink is usually a White Russian (or a glass of wine)… ;)

Miranda @ Miranda Writes BlogI’m a margarita girl all the time :) White Russians and Eggnog are always good in the winter too (and wine!)!
