Recently, I’ve hired a superstar team of three ladies to help me run ALL the things that make up my business… including this blog, my Happy Hour Club, my social media, and the Baton Rouge Fashion Council. Plus, they’re helping me with some of my online marketing work for my clients… as well as another bigger project that’s coming soon (spoiler: an online course)!

So yea, there’s A LOT that makes up exactly what I do — and I got to thinking that my blog, Southern Flair, is really the foundation of all of it. So while talking more with my new team about my ultimate vision and how everything is connected, I was like “WHY don’t I share this with you, my reader too?!

My blog has created my community, my blog has been my living example/portfolio for my work, plus I believe my blog is proof of what you can create when you get focused, set goals and stay consistent (another hint at my online course). My blog is also the main reason I’ve built relationships with so many boutique owners to start the Baton Rouge Fashion Council.

While everything is VERY different and may seen all over the place… it’s all connected through my blog. So while I have a lot going on and a variety of ways I make income, my blog is my baby.

My blog more than ever is more about you than it is about me and about the community we’re building, so of course I should loop you in my my vision and how I want to serve you.

Why Does Southern Flair Exist?

I want to show local women that they can create their best life right here in Baton Rouge. And that even in your late 20s, 30s and 40s, you can still dream, grow, create, celebrate, have fun and be more successful than you could ever imagine.

Who Does Southern Flair Serve?

My reader is the gal who’s always up for a fun adventure or a tough challenge. She likes to fill her calendar with local events and things to do, and while she values her “me” time, she doesn’t like to sit at home too much. She likes to try new places, discover new local gems, shop local, meet new friends and be creative.

She understands that she’s in control of her career, life, mind and relationships.

Oh, and you’ll never hear her say that she’s bored. She wakes up each day excited about possibility. And she knows she creates that possibility. She’ll prefer a cup of coffee first though.

What difference do I want to make for my reader?

I want to inspire my reader to love her life wherever she is. I don’t want her to feel like she has to live in a bigger city for more opportunities. I want her to know she has the power to create the type of life she wants. I want to inspire her to better herself, grow in her career, support local and always have fun. I want to be an example of what’s possible if you stay goal-driven, focused and passionate, while not taking yourself too seriously either.

I want to give her a community of like-minded women who she can know in real life — to build career connections and real friendships.

the Southern Flair Krewe Loves:

Happy hour, chips & salsa, sunshine & patios, puppies, festivals, LSU, personal development, making friends, coffee, parades, tailgating, craft beer, Instagram, fitness, travel — and mostly being female and awesome.
