The secret is OUT! Here are 5 secret-menu coffees to order in Baton Rouge!

You always hear about Starbuck’s secret menu items, so I was like WAIT… what about our Baton Rouge coffee shops? Do they have secret menus too!? Ask and you shall receive. We asked 5 local coffee shops about their off-the-menu items… and this is what they shared!

1- French Truck Coffee - The Rubicon

French Truck Coffee’s Rubicon is a chilled sweetened micro-latte that’s topped with frothy milk foam and dusted with espresso grounds.

This drink was created by Dominic Vittitow, who is now the Director of Education at French Truck. But when he created it, he was a full-time barista at the Uptown New Orleans location.

French Truck Coffee is located at 2978 Government Street.

2- Magpie Cafe - Maple Bacon Latte

If you’re looking for a little sweet and a little savory, Magpie Cafe serves a Maple Bacon Latte that’s not on the menu. It’s a latte with maple syrup topped with real bacon bits.

Magpie Cafe is located at 3205 Perkins Road and downtown at 333 Laurel Street.

3- Highland Coffees - White Chocolate Lavender Mocha

Highland Coffees secret White Chocolate Lavender Mocha is served in a 12oz glass mug. It has white chocolate powder, lavender syrup, one shot of your choice of espresso, and it’s made with your milk preference (whole, lowfat, skim, soy, almond or oat). Whipped cream tops the drink off!

Highland Coffees is located at 3350 Highland Road.

4- La Divina Italian Café - Cookie Butter Latte

La Divina says they’re flexible with orders and custom make drinks based on their guest’s requests, but one of their favorites (that’s not on the menu) is their Cookie Butter Latte. Other variations include adding liquor or whiskey to their coffee!

La Divinia is located at 3535 Perkins Road, next to Trader Joe’s.

5- Java Mama - Peppermint Mocha

For whenever you’re feeling festive, Java Mama offers an off-the-menu Peppermint Mocha. It’s topped with crushed peppermints and whipped cream.
