Finally, something King Cake-like that doesn’t involve calories! I know we all love the smell and taste of good ole original cinnamon this King Cake time of year, so I made this cinnamon-scented DIY King Cake Sugar Scrub in less than 10 minutes! It smells SO good and works as a great exfoliant! I’ve been keeping my jar near the kitchen sink and even one in my bathroom to use on my hands — and it’s amazing the difference it’s made already! You can even keep yours in the shower and use as a full body scrub! Check out the DIY King Cake Sugar Scrub recipe below!
Ingredients:
- Sugar (I used white, but you can use brown)
- Purple, Green and Yellow Liquid Soap Coloring
- Olive Oil
- Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oils (here’s a good option!)
Extra Supplies:
- Three Bowls (for mixing)
- Three Spoons (for mixing)
- Jars with lids
1- Mix 1/2 cup of sugar with 1/4 cup olive oil in a bowl. Repeat this for all three bowls.
2- Add a few drops of coloring to each bowl (one for purple, one for yellow, and one for green) and stir until you get the desired color. (You may need to add a bit more olive oil if you feel like your color isn’t mixing well or if your mixture is too dry).
3- Add a drop or two of cinnamon leaf essential oils to each bowl and stir.
4- Layer a spoonful of each color of mixture into your jars.
If you’re planning to decorate with these or give them as gifts, you can even hot glue little poms on the top for a little something extra!
