So if you decide to leave the hotel and/or pool area, there’s plenty of fun things happening this April and May in New Orleans!

For starters, Jazz Fest is happening April 28 – May 7. Usher, Lorde, Maroon 5, Dave Matthews, Kings of Leon, Meghan Trainor AND Crawfish Monica? Say no more because I’m down.

French Quarter Fest is also happening in April from the 6th – 9th. This four-day festival is one of my favorites! There are over 300 hours of entertainment with more than 400 musical performances on 23 stages throughout the French Quarter. And that doesn’t include all the food you can try! It’s happening April 6-9.

If you’re into golf, you’ll want to book your room for April 24-30 for the Zurich Classic. This is a big stop on the PGA tour! Single day passes run around $25 and it’s played on a course about 15 miles from the French Quarter.

And for all you runners, the Crescent City Classic is coming up! This is one of the biggest running days in New Orleans. This 10k road race is one of the oldest races in the country and is happening Sunday, April 15 at 8AM. The race starts near the Superdome, goes through the French Quarter and ends at City Park. Besides the race itself, the whole weekend is jam-packed with events and parties around the race!

Finally in May, Bayou Country Superfest is making its way to New Orleans. This has always been here in Baton Rouge, but this year it’s headin’ to the Superdome. You can spend Memorial Day Weekend with Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett and Brooks & Dunn!

If you’re just coming for a weekend getaway, there’s plenty of food and shopping right near Chateau LeMoyne. RF’s is a Cajun-Creole restaurant and cocktail bar located in the hotel. They have live music happening daily, and y’all know I live for happy hour, so of course I’ve checked that out for you! They have $3 martinis, $5 cocktails, $2 beers and $2 food specials!

Other restaurants located right near the hotel are GW Fins, Galatoire’s Cafe Beignet, Brousard’s Red Fish Grill, Bourbon House and M Bistro — just to name a few!

As far as shopping, you’ll be pretty close to the Shops at Canal Place and the Shops at Tax Brewery!
