You may remember Ella Rose from last year as New Orleans Fashion Week’s Emerging Designer. Well, Ella has recently graduated from LSU, and she’s launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the second season of her line.
Kickstarter is an online fundraising platform used by emerging entrepreneurs to support creative projects. Project creators set a fundraising goal and a deadline. “Backers,” or those who wish to support the project, then pledge money of up to $1,000 (or more). A Kickstarter project must reach its full goal in order for the creator to receive any funding. Ella’s goal is $10,000.
She plans to rent out a studio space, purchase more fabric and equipment, and add two part-time positions to her production team with the money raised. She has until Sept. 6 to reach her goal, so help a girl a out! If you’d like to learn more or pledge your support, visit her Kickstarter page.
