As you know, I take the shopping small thing pretty seriously here at Southern Flair — especially during the holiday season. I love supporting local Louisiana brands even more when they can give back to other great causes or charities. Some even make a difference all across the world! Today, I’m sharing three local fashion brands that you can shop with this holiday season AND make a difference at the same time. Another great thing about these three businesses is they give back all year — not just during the holidays!

The Priceless Collection started off as a blog by Baton Rouge-native Rebekah Burch. Her blog, Praising Hands Traveling Shoes, focused on her mission trips and travel adventures to Honduras, Belize, Panama and the Dominican Republic. Her travels increased her awareness of human trafficking, and since women are purchased with coins and sold into the sex trade, she turns those coins into jewelry as a way to set those women free. In 2015, she founded The Priceless Collection and created a jewelry line centered around coins. With every purchase made, The Priceless Collection gives a portion of the proceeds to their partner organization, Freedom 418, to help women who have been rescued from the sex trade. Southern Football Tees has donated nearly $50,000 to BRAF’s Louisiana Flood Relief Fund since August 2016. The donations were made in honor of the 2016 Cajun Navy Rescue Effort to directly assist the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank’s recovery. The Food Bank’s 1,700-square-foot warehouse took on four feet of water during the recent Louisiana flooding. SFT’s donation comes from the profits of its Cajun Navy t-shirt sales, in which they donated $15 per shirt through the month of September. SFT continues to donate a portion of the proceeds to the relief fund each month. SFT has also launched the Cajun Navy tee in black & gold and purple & gold, as well as children’s sizes.
