When it came to my best friend and I planning our summer vacation this year, our minds automatically went to Europe. We were thinking Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
It wasn’t until we started planning that we realized there was still SO much in our own country we haven’t seen. I had never been to most of the mid-western states or places like The Grand Canyon, Vegas, or Denver. So that’s when we got the idea for #LesMagsGoWest16.
Growing up in Louisiana, I didn’t realize just how different the landscape was when driving out West. Pretty sure I took 400+ photos just of mountains on the side of the road! And there were so many times we said we didn’t even feel like we were in the same country!
But that’s because our country is massive. And awesome.
So today in honor of our road trip and the Fourth of July next week, I teamed up with Live Life. Pursue Happy. to create a bucket list of some of the most “American” places to visit in the US.

Founders of the startup Marion and Jason Corrigan and David Lloyd also wanted their website to not only be a place to sell American jewelry but to showcase inspiring stories of people living life, pursuing happy and making history.
For me, living life and pursuing happy means traveling, adventures, and exploring new places.
