Revival Nola Gives Back Through Jewelry Designs + A Giveaway!
Today, I’ve teamed up with Revival Nola, a New Orleans-based fine jewelry company to share their five unique designs — all centered around iconic New Orleans landmarks and symbols. The shotgun home, the St. Louis Cathedral, the Mardi Gras jester hat, Bourbon Street and the gallery home all add to the unique charm when it comes to New Orleans, and Revival Nola has turned each of these into its own necklace. The best part is you can WIN your own at the bottom of this post!
New Orleans is one of those places that you can visit and over and over again and never stop feeling like a tourist. For only being an hour apart, New Orleans and Baton Rouge are SO different from one another — and while Baton Rouge is the place I love calling home, there’s still something so charming and special about New Orleans.
Did you know I lived in New Orleans for a brief moment after college? I sure did! It was one of those times that I didn’t know what the heck I was doing with my life, so living with an old friend in New Orleans seemed like the best idea and the most fun at the time. I stayed for a few months and even after living there and after all these years of visiting consistently, simply walking around like a tourist never gets old. I’ll always love strolling up and down the French Quarter sightseeing, shopping and enjoying the entertainment on the street. From the architecture and all around vibe of the city, New Orleans is one place I don’t mind playing tourist over and over again.
But after Hurricane Katrina hit in August 2005, New Orleans appeared to be down and out. Today, the physical restoration of the city seems obvious, but poverty and crime are at an all-time high in the city.
Revival NOLA, a philanthropic e-commerce startup that sells limited edition, high-quality jewelry pieces, is focused on solving these issues. With every purchase made, they donate a percentage of sales to a local non-profit that will effectively benefit the community.
In September 2016, Revival Nola, launched five original designs centered around New Orleans symbols and landmarks. Each piece takes over 30 man hours to perfect. And the really cool part is that each piece is hand-engraved with a number 1-500, so you end up with a true one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry!
The jewelry line includes a Shotgun Double, a Bourbon Street Sign, a Gallery Home, the Cathedral and the Jester Hat. You can see them all here.
Jacob Pazos is the creator behind Revival Nola. He was eleven years old when Hurricane Katrina brought massive destruction to the city. When he returned home, Pazos decided then that he wanted to help the City of New Orleans rebuild.
He spent a few summers volunteering, and at 13-years-old, Pazos began working with his father at a local diamond wholesaler in New Orleans. He stumbled into designing jewelry when he discovered a computer program, and out of curiosity he played around with it and designed a wedding band. He then began designing custom jewelry for the company for years to come.
With his love for his city, it was only a matter of time before he began to create designs that were modeled after New Orleans culture.

I just got back from a long weekend in NOLA - my first time - and I fell in love! What a fantastic city, steeped in a colorful history! But you can also see the poverty and homelessness everywhere and I know Hurricane Katrina played a big part in that. I love how Jacob is giving back to the community with his designs. Thanks for the opportunity to win and I’ll definitely check out Revival NOLA!
