Sarah, a Baton Rouge-based Jamberry Nails consultant, recently sent me a few sample nail wraps to play around with. I first heard of Jamberry about a year ago when a few teachers I work with started wearing and praising them, so of course I hopped on board immediately and wanted to try them out for myself. I have tons and tons of nail polish in every color imaginable, but I am no where near talented enough to create fun designs or patient enough to ever really let my nails dry before I go on to my next activity.
That’s why Jamberry worked perfectly for me! There is absolutely no dry time and the nail wraps can last up to two weeks. My nail polish would never last that long-especially since I definitely don’t have the patience to apply a top coat.

Before applying my full set of Jamberry wraps, I tried the 7-Day Chip Challenge with one party nail wrap on each hand and painted the rest of my nails a coordinating color. When I applied my first nail wrap, I immediately realized why it’s better to choose a nail wrap that’s too small rather than too big. The nail wrap hung off my nail a little on one side, but I did my best to trim it down to fit properly. Even with this little mishap, they lasted the full week and would have lasted longer, but I was too excited to try the full set.
When it was time to try the full set, I now felt like a pro and knew what to do! Overall, the application process for both hands took about 15 minutes. And I’m sure this process can get even faster once you get use to it. I matched the nail wraps by size to my fingers and cut the wraps in half. I used tweezers to peel off the adhesives and heated them with a hair dryer. I stuck them on while applying lots of pressure and more heat. Then, I trimmed and filed them down and voila! Easy easy and I love my new Saints-themed nails with the black and gold glitter design.
Overall, I had four major takeaways from my Jamberry nails experience:
1. Apply lots of pressure and heat (like a lot) during the application process… or a few days after if you start having any problems or if a wrap starts peeling.
2. Again, choose a nail wrap that is too small rather than too big for your nails.
3. From other Jamberry nail users, I heard applying a clear coat of fingernail polish after a few days will help seal the wrap when or if it starts to peel. It definitely helps them last longer!
4. If they fall off or peel, you can fix it. My first day with my full set, a nail wrap got messed up while I was drying my hair (probably my fault with trimming the wraps). It peeled about halfway off, so I re-trimmed it (doing a better job this time) and applied more heat and pressure and it was like nothing ever happened. Disaster averted!

Thanks for doing such a great giveaway, I’ve been wanting to try JamBerry for a while now, because I’m awful at nail art!
