Two Sundays ago I wore this gold petal necklace and bangles set in my Saints Style post. Today, I want to officially introduce you to Color By Amber and tell you a little about the shop and mission.

Browsing the Color By Amber Fall 2013 Catalog, I immediately knew I had to add this statement piece to my Saints-themed look. It was the perfect gold color, and I was so surprised by how light the necklace felt. This set will definitely get some great use this fall and football season.

Candy Shop Vintage: ‘On Forever 21, Splurging And Why Copycats Suck’

These necklaces may look familiar. I did a splurge vs. save post earlier in the summer comparing these two necklaces- one Forever 21 ($10) and the other Candy Shop Vintage ($140).

My post caught the attention of Candy Shop Vintage Owner & Designer Deirdre Zahl and prompted her to write her own post about why her necklace is more expensive and all around the better choice.

Deirdre brings up some very important points in her post that all Forever 21 frequents should see. Deirdre focuses on jewelry that you will have for a long time-not some trendy pieces you will throw away. I hope you’ll take a minute to check out her post because it is a very important topic and you will see how it can be very frustrating for independent designers and small business owners.

Happy Tuesday! Only three more days of school for me until it’s summer!! I’m so ready to be spending my days laying by the pool catching up on cheesy teen lit and my tan.

Unfortunately, I’m spending the next few days moving out of my house. Everything I own is going in storage until I can find a new place (thanks to my landlady deciding she wanted her house back). It’s going to be difficult to be a fashion blogger with no closet. But we will make it work!

On to my outfit… This coral color is huge for the summer. No secret about that. On Forever 21′s website it calls it “Red” but I definitely think it’s more corral-y. Unless I’m just colorblind. If so, y’all tell me now so I stop embarrassing myself.

This dress also comes in mint (another huge spring/summer color). Belt included, and for less than $25! And I love the polka dot print!
