How to wear a floral crop top

Monday, March 24th, 2014

Product Information: Full Course Load Bag from Modcloth | Christine sandals from Sole Society | Essie Nail Polish from Nordstrom | Gold Collar Necklace from BaubleBar | Pale Pink Wrap Skirt from Topshop | Floral Crop Top from Warehouse

And we’re back to a normal week of blog posts! And I’m back to a normal life with Internet. It’s been more difficult without Internet than I am proud to admit that’s for sure.

Crop tops were everywhere at NOLA Fashion Week, so they’ve definitely been on my mind. I wanted this outfit to be as springy as possible with light pastels and trendy sandals. How do you style your crop tops?

Top: Forever 21 (similar) | Polka Dot Jeans: Belk (similar) | Shoes: Target | Necklace: JCrew (and half off!) | Sunglasses: Betsey Johnson

So I finally have my Fourth of July outfit picked out, but still no clue what I’m actually doing for the holiday. What’s everyone else doing? Have your outfit picked out? This is as close to an American flag as I could get.

I picked up this JCrew necklace on the way home from the beach this weekend. I’ve been wanting a gold chunky chain necklace and finally found the perfect one-and at half off! Go snag that baby right now!

Hope you have a safe & happy Fourth of July! Be sure to keep up with SF on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest!

Fourth of July Outfit Ideas

Happy Sunday, y’all! I’m headed back from the beach today. It was such a good girls’ weekend-despite not being able to get in the water yesterday thanks to humongous sharks and jellyfish. And I’m not exaggerating. There were sharks. Real ones. Real close. Not ok.

But now that the beach trip is over, it’s time to start thinking about Fourth of July. Today, I’ve got two outfit options for you. One casual and one a little dressier depending on what your plans are. I really love all the pieces-holiday or not.

Product Information: Dress: Dorothy Perkins | Wedges: Zappos | Earrings: Betsey Johnson | Satchel: DSW | Sunglasses: Marc Jacobs

Cut Out + Stripes

Wednesday, June 26th, 2013

Dress: Belk (and on sale!) | Clutch: candy apple :: a blog shop | Watch: Kate Spade | Shoes: Target (similar)

The cut out dress trend really scares me- mostly because a lot of dresses have the tummy area cut out. So I really liked that this dress was on trend but cut out the top and back- areas I’m more comfortable with. Also, I just loved the mixed patterns and colors. I feel like my first instinct was to pair the dress with black shoes and black accessories, but on second thought I decided to bring out the brighter summery colors (y’all know that’s a challenge for me).

I bought this clutch last week from candy apple :: a blog shop through a Facebook sale while driving down the road (not safe- I know, but I had to have it). I’ve always been hesitant to purchase things through Facebook, but now that I’ve done it and see how easy it is, it could be very dangerous for my checking account. It’s really all Paypal’s fault. It makes everything SO freakin’ easy. Like easy enough I can shop while driving.

Outfit: Lace Crop Top with Maxi Skirt

Monday, June 17th, 2013

The title really says it all. I love this lace crop top trend I’m seeing all over the place. I think it looks fabulous paired with a long maxi skirt because it’s just so versatile. It’s appropriate for so many occasions or whatever you may be doing during your summer days. Plus, the accessories and sandals can be mixed up to add different vibes to the outfit.
