The Best Rooftop Bars in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge isn’t a city that’s known for our skyscrapers or rooftop bars, but we do have a few popping up and worth talking about! We’ve added several new rooftops just in the past year alone! So today, I’m sharing my list of the best rooftop bars in Baton Rouge.

1- Tsunami

Tsunami is one of the best dinner-with-a-view spots in Baton Rouge. It’s located downtown on the top floor of the Shaw Center, and its rooftop terrace overlooks the Mississippi River. You can eat and drink outside, reserve it for rooftop parties and even reserve a couch for football games on their big screen.

2- The Chimes - Highland

The Chimes is a Baton Rouge staple, but the Highland Rd location (near LSU) got a fun upgrade last year! They’ve added a rooftop bar with 70+ beers on tap and with full menu service. They’ve got booths, tables and bar seating — and enough room for games like corn hole, Jenga and ping pong.

3- Bumsteers

Bumsteers is one of our newest restaurants to pop up on Perkins Road. They’ve got burgers, beer and a pretty awesome rooftop. They’ve got lots of seating, TVs, and games. Plus, it’s walking distance to other popular spots like Ivars and The Merchant.

4- Red Stick Social

Red Stick Social in Mid City was all the rage when it opened last year offering a new restaurant and bar, plus multiple floors of bowling alleys and event space. On the top floor, there’s a door leads you out onto their rooftop, which overlooks the Electric Depot area. This rooftop is more private with a few tables and couches. There’s no outdoor bar, but there is one right inside!

5- L’Auberge Casino

During the summer, L’Auberge has one of the coolest rooftops because there’s a full bar and a POOL. It’s on the 12th floor and overlooks the Mississippi River. It has private cabanas and poolside service.
