Happy First Day of Spring! It’s also the second week of my Mannequin Challenge here on SF! The gist of the challenge is that you try on a complete outfit right off the mannequin, but it must be something OUT of your comfort zone. It’s a way to get you to try new styles, colors and fits of clothing that you may not necessarily pick out for yourself. And hopefully, in the end you can branch out and mix up your closet a bit! You can read the full Mannequin Challenge details in this post.

Style Mannequin Challenge Week 3: Wearing overalls for spring
This week I went with a classic repeat trend straight from the 90s — overalls! It’s been a solid 18+ years since I wore overalls (maybe longer!), but they’re poppin’ up everywhere, so I had to try them as a grown ass woman to see how they looked!

(I literally think my last pair had Tweety Bird on the front, so this is definitely the more “adult” version.)

I have to say, I was really skeptical at first. But overall (ha – literally!), I think I like the new updated fitted style. I like the cropped skinny ankle pant style for sure! It’s a lot better than those awful baggy ones I wore in elementary school.

Adding slip on mules and a shirt with sleeves as awesome as this one (!!!) really helps complete the overall look — without appearing like I should be working on the farm.

Outfit Details: Skinny Ankle Length Overalls | Embroidered Scallop Trim Top | Slip On Mules (now 40% off and less than $30!) | Floral Watch

  2. I really wish I could pull off this trend, because I think you look precious in it! I think the top you chose to wear underneath really pulled it all together!
