Five Louisiana Jewelry Designers to Follow

Working with the Baton Rouge Fashion Council, I get exposed to many local jewelry designers. In fact, almost half our members are jewelry creators. I always love seeing their original creations and how different their styles are from one another even with living in the same region.

Today, I’m sharing five Louisiana jewelry designers who don’t have just beautiful jewelry in person, but also online. These top 5 picks are creators who manage a beautiful Instagram and online presence as well. Keep up with them for the latest in local jewelry (and you might want to check them out if you’re still looking for that perfect Mother’s Day gift!)

Mimosa-Handcrafted - a Louisiana-based jewelry designer

Madeline Ellis, the designer behind Mimosa Handcrafted, is clearly inspired by Louisiana when it comes to her handmade jewelry. On her website and Instagram feed, you’ll see oysters, pelicans, crawfish, pecans, tigers and the list of her Louisiana touches goes on and on. You can find her on Instagram at @mimosahandcrafted.

Hands Producing Hope is the Baton Rouge-based jewelry and accessories brand, which provides work and education for women living in Costa Rica & Rwanda (check out their full story in this post). Their beautifully curated Instagram feed gives you a behind-the-scenes look into a few of the artisans, a close up look at the handmade jewelry, and every day inspiration through pretty photos and quotes. You can find them at @HandsProducingHope.

Eveille Jewelry (French for ‘awake’) is another Baton Rouge-based jewelry brand who has recently started participating in our Baton Rouge Fashion Council pop-ups. Designer Elizabeth Massey’s feed has a more bohemian vibe with tassels, beads, leather, gemstones and more. You can find her at @eveillejewelry.

If you’re looking for quality handmade jewelry and a feed of bright gemstones and gold, then Kat Noel Designs is it. Be careful though because you’ll want to own all these fancy pieces! Katie Jenkins runs her jewelry business as a full-time mommy in Zachary, Louisiana. You can read her full feature here, find her at almost all our pop-ups, and check out her Instagram at @KatNoelDesigns.

Named after a cross-section in Uptown New Orleans, Freret & Napoleon is a jewelry line created by Tiffany Langlinais in November 2013. With oyster shells as the trademark for the brand, it’s clearly inspired by its Louisiana roots. On their Instagram feed, you’ll be inspired by New Orleans culture, funny (but so true) quotes, and of course beautifully styled oyster jewelry. Check out their full feature in this post and find them on Instagram @freretnapoleon.
